All Political Power Is Inherent In The People

In a 6-1 decision, the California Supreme Court has upheld the ban on same sex marriages. I don't have a huge problem with the decision, but I was a little surprised by the number of people who were overjoyed with the ruling. I don't understand how letting a same sex couple marry affects others lives or marriage. There are plenty of marriage licenses to go around for everyone. Remember being in favor of civil liberties means sometimes supporting freedoms that you might not believe in. The next ruling just might affect you.
