Bart Gordon Names His Price For Selling Out Tennesseans

March 18th 2010 23:50
Thousands of Tennesseans are facing unemployment, sadly Bart Gordon will not be one of them. The retiring congressman has been rumored to have sold his vote on healthcare to become the next NASA administrator. Gordon, who had voted against a similar bill last year, held out for the deal. I repeatedly called all of his offices in Tennessee and D.C. but none of his employees could or would tell why he switched his vote.

I have heard that the GOP has promised to hold nominations for sold votes. I can see no better place to start than with this disgraceful ex-Tennessean.

The inside game is over guys because unlike the media, most bloggers can't be bought with future inside information. We are far more interested in getting the truth out.

The fact that Obama and Pelosi have to buy votes like the Cornhusker Kickback and the Louisiana Purchase should tell you all that you need to know about how bad of a bill that this is.

The biggest fight the democrats have had so far has been with other democrats, and still the media ignores it and tries to blame Republicans, calling them "the party of NO". Those that couldn't be threatened or intimidated have been bribed in a disgraceful and shameless manner. All it took for Dennis Kucinich to change his so-called mind was a ride in Air Force One. It's amazing what a combination of greed and stupidity can do, isn't it? Not one of the slimes gives a rats behind about the voters once the election is over.

Fox News reported last night (3/18) on Bret Baier's 5pm show that Bart Gordon had received a $100 million special Medicaid deal in exchange for his vote. Interestingly, Rep. Gordon doesn't seem to be bragging about his 'special deal' and, as a result, it is not being reported hardly anywhere this morning. This could be because today's DNJ (Murfreesboro's newspaper) cites a MTSU study in which 69 percent of the public want them to start over on reform or scrap it altogether. We have posted a link to the Fox article which mentions the deal (but not the amount) on our website at: Really Long Link I've also noticed that Politico has made slight mention of the deal today.
