Best And Worst Halloween Candy Guide
October 27th 2009 03:22
Just in time for All Hallows Eve I've put together the definitive guide to assist my readers with their trick or treating bounty. I've have years of experience and know which candies are keepers and which can be traded away for hopefully something edible. My list is divided in half, with the top five tasty treats and the five nastiest things ever invented by candy makers.
The Bottom Five
10) Mary Janes
Just because it has been around forever doesn't make it tasty. If you have never gotten this terrible candy before imagine peanut butter and molasses mixed with boot leather and cow's tongue.
9) Candy Corn
I got this every year catastrophe every year that I went trick or treating. They are pretty nasty little buggers. Unfortunately they have appeared to have been crossbred into Christmas and Valentine's Day with Reindeer and Cupid corn..so beware this travesty will haunt you year round.
8) Peeps
See #9 At one time you only had to fear this mushy marshmallow madness at Easter now they have Peeps Bats to ruin another holiday.
7) Tootsie Rolls
They are probably a dentist's delight with all of the cavities and pulled out fillings that they have caused over the years.
6)Necco Wafers
Imagine eating mint chalk..believe me not a good experience.
The Top Five
5)Skittles
A small bite size candy that comes in many different flavors.
4) Bite Size Candy Bars
My favorite is Kit Kat but anything chocolate or caramel works for me.
3)Nerds
I never seemed to get these and would have to go buy these hard sour goodies with my own money.
2) Jelly Bellys
It's amazing how realistic tasting these jelly beans are from Tutti-Fruitti to Root Beer, I've tried them all.
1) Hot Tamales
My favorite candy. I can eat a theater sized box before the feature even starts.
I hope this guide helps. Try to remember who gave you the bad stuff so you can return after midnight to toilet paper their house.
Happy Trick or Treating!
