Billy Eli Band Member Flies Plane Into IRS Building

February 18th 2010 21:07
A former member of The Billy Eli band has flown a plane into a IRS federal building in Austin, TX. Joseph Andrew Stack, who was also a pilot and engineer, allegedly burned down his home the night before. Stack left a suicide manifesto that can be viewed here.

Wow! He had a lousy time of it for sure. At first it sounded like some sort of cosmic joke that the IRS was a victim, but there was nothing "cosmic" about it after all.

While I understand his anger and frustration (as well as his choice of targets) I'm sorry he took such a terrible way out of his troubles.

My sympathies to his family...

What ever happened to taking a bunch of sleeping pills or blowing your brains out with a shotgun? -hXc

Maybe it wasn't dramatic enough for him. It sort of reduces him to the level of a suicide bomber, doesn't it.

Good Olde Boy Flips out on everybody. If his business was so bad how could he AFFORD a plane?

Thx Toxic Politics, he also had a mansion that he burned to the ground the day before. His wife and daughter were thankfully not home.

As far as I'm concerned, Joe did, in his way, what the majority of U.S. citizens only dream about - blowing the UNCONSTITUTIONAL IRS to HELL where they belong....

^^^ That'll get you a visit by the FBI- hopefully an agent will give you a good ass whipping like your (most likely absent) daddy never did. If you think this loser was a folk hero go slit your wrists & join him. The folks above made a great point that this fool had a huge house & private plane- not exactly hallmarks of a common American. Get your GED, then hunt for nearby community colleges, unless your IQ prohibits such activity in which case the wrist slitting thing is highly recommended.

Perception is everything, isn't it? Most folk heroes don't have mansions and planes. I don't like the IRS, either... it is illegal and should be dismantled, but I'm not going to blow up an IRS building.

Those of you who consider him a hero should be able to see why Muslim terrorists are so loved by other Muslims. Their cowardly acts of killing themselves and others is disgusting and should not be celebrated.

What he did to his family was unconscionable!

Joe, we feel your pain.
Those of us that live with our eyes wide open are aware of how you felt.
