Bitterness A Mental Disorder?
May 27th 2009 22:48
We have all been wronged by a co-worker, boss, or even a loved one. Most of us plot that person's demise and after a few days are able to move on to the next crisis. A few people. however become so embittered toward the person that has wronged them that they can't focus on anything else but their rage. This rage is becoming so common that researchers have started identifying it as a mental illness known as PTED(Post-Traumatic-Embitterm ent-Disorder). An early estimate suggests that 1-2% of the population could suffer from PTED. Look any day now for a pharmaceutical company to ask for an indication of PTED be added for their drug and for someone to use it as a defense for a crime. How did we function before we all had an excuse for our bad behavior?
