British High Court: No Right To Blog Anonymously

A blogger who won Britain's Orwell Prize for political writing has been forced to reveal his true identity. The writer, Richard Horton, who is a detective, had argued that revealing his true name would put him in danger of disciplinary action. The judge rejected the argument and issued a statement that “blogging is essentially a public rather than a private activity”.
I think it is just a matter of time before we see a case like this before the Supreme Court.
