D.I. is a global educational organization that encourages children to learn and experience creativity, teamwork and problem solving. Each year thousands of students from across the U.S. and thirty other countries compete to reach the finals and showcase their ideas to other students and judges.
It is much more than a competition however, it is a chance for kids to see other cultures, trade collectible pins, share challenge solutions, and hopefully have tons of fun.
This year a record 1,000 teams will participate in the finals at the University Of Tennessee. The competition begins May 26th and runs thru the 29th with camps, pep rallys, and workshops keeping the teams busy leading up to the closing ceremonies.
I will be attending as much of the event as possible and posting video of some of the innovative ideas that these children have brought to the competition.
