GM Announces Recall Of 1.5 Million Vehicles

GM is recalling 1.5 million cars and SUVs that are equipped with an optional heated windshield wiper function. There have been at least five fires directly linked to the modules.
GM will begin fixing vehicles in the coming weeks and will disable the module, giving owners $100 for the deactivated function.
Models affected:
2006-2009 Buick Lucerne, Cadillac DTS, and Hummer H2
2008-2009 Buick Enclave and Cadillac CTS
2007-2009 Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT, Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, GMC Acadia, Sierra, Yukon, Yukon XL, Saturn Outlook and the 2009 Chevrolet Traverse.
