Heath Shuler Planning NFL Comeback?
July 12th 2009 01:03
Could former Tennessee Vol and Washington Redskin quarterback Heath Shuler be considering a return to the NFL? The Heisman runner-up and the first player taken in the 1994 draft has been widely considered one of the biggest NFL busts of all time.
Since the NFL he has dabbled in real estate and for the last two years has been a US representative from North Carolina's 11th district. Shuler, who considers himself a blue dog democrat, recently sold out the rest of the blue dogs as well as his N.C. constituents when he voted for Obama and Pelosi's cap and trade bill.
What else other than a comeback could be his reason for committing political suicide by voting for a huge tax bill that he could not have possibly read?
He could also possibly get back into the real estate business just probably not in North Carolina or Tennessee. I would suggest a bluer climate like New Jersey or Illinois.
They say that Washington can corrupt even good men, I fear that has happened to a man who was once one of my sports heroes.
