Making Fat Disappear By Exhaling

A technique known as the glyoxylate shunt has proven successful with preventing fat cells from being stored as sugar. So far the two enzymes that make up the shunt have only been tested in mice. If all continues well with the therapy we could one day have a med that burns fats instead of sugars. Until then we'll have to do it the hard way, with diet and exercise.
