I'm less of a cat owner and more of a owner of a cat diner. I can only claim ownership of one cat but many times I've counted up to five on my deck enjoying a free supper. I suppose I could go around to my neighbors and ask them to pitch in for their cats snacks but for all I know my kitty may be partaking in the all you can eat buffet at other houses as well.
One thing I can be thankful for is that this dinner party is generally a quiet affair with the guests eating till they are full and then moving on with the evening's cat entertainment. That would probably not be the case if I lived in Britain near Smokey the Cat.
Smokey is the newly crowned champion of irritating midnight meowers and has the Guiness Books certificate to prove it.
Smokey recently won the award by cranking out 67 decibels at a competition sponsored by Northhampton College.
