I actually saw this coming with all of the new taxes that the city imposed on the people who did most of the hiring. This is what happens in every city/state when liberals get greedy and raises taxes too much. It is also the reason why liberalism always fails.
Liberalism destroys ambition and creates dependency on the government.
Then look at what happens after the job creaters/tax payers leave. You have the same amount of people who depend on the government but a shrinking tax base to take care of them. I'm glad to live in a state with no income tax and low corporate rates. We welcome all freedom loving job producing New Yorkers here.
