Ronald Reagan Centennial

Ronald Reagan was the first President that I can remember. Even at an early age I could see how in control and happy he always seemed. I recall our teacher in school talking about how he had won a huge victory in 1984, capturing 49/50 states. It would be years before I would understand all that he did for the US and the world and that quite possibly we would never see a leader like him again.

I plan on posting several of his speeches in the coming year to celebrate his upcoming 100th birthday.

Here is a short video hosted by award winning actor Gary Sinise with a tour of the Ronald Reagan Library in California.

The Political Brief
He was a great man and an excellent president, Steve. It's hard to believe he'd be 100 years old! My Pappy would have been 102 this year, and their generation could remember what the country was supposed to be like. The problem with most current politicians is that they never knew a country without the entitlements and the waste that we have now. Hopefully someone will turn up who understands the Constitution and can help restore the USA to it's origins. I doubt we'll ever be lucky enough to have another Ronald Reagan...

It's scary S.L the students in my class think they should get an A because they paid their tuition and showed up for most of the classes. Hopefully we will see another Reagan to inspire and talk about freedom and conservatism.
