The Short History Of The Global Warming Hoax
February 24th 2010 05:52
We may have seen the end of the Intergovernmental Panel On Climate Change( IPCC) as both Senator Barbara Boxer and EPA chief Lisa Jackson were both forced into throwing the agency under the bus. The two are now using NASA as the last life preserver in the sinking theory of manmade global warming.
How did so many get fooled by a scientific theory that was never proven?
It was a perfect storm of weather patterns, economics, and politics.
First the science, In the early seventies the Earth was going on four decades of cooling and many climate scientists believed that we may be heading into an ice age. One of the theories was increased smog from pollution was blocking the sun's rays from entering the atmosphere. One man that had a different theory was Swedish scientist Bert Bolin. Bolin was talking about manmade CO2 before anyone else on a BBC television sow. His theory was the CO2 would eventually heat up Earth's temperatures by as much as three degrees. It would be a young Al Gore that would become fascinated by this theory. Bodin and Gore would later share the Nobel Prize together. It would also be Bolin who would setup the IPCC and serve as the chair for ten years.
The political storm that contributed to the theory came from an unlikely source, a conservative Prime Minister. Margaret Thatcher was becoming concerned with the unrest in the Middle East with oil and with union miners striking and forcing shortages of coal. Thatcher used the new theory of CO2 warming to help sell her wish to build nuclear plants. The government would fund scientists who worked in the climate field. Think about what happened during the Renaissance when the church commissioned thousands of religious paintings and when the US government in the 80s threw millions of dollars at the "coming HIV/AIDS plague." Just like every painter who wanted work in the Renaissance needed to have a religious subject, every chemist who wanted grants in the 80s had to work on AIDS research.
Lets say a researcher wanted to study the mating habits of the red eared bushy tailed chipmuck, they probably wouldn't be approved but if they added how does climate change affect the mating habits to said chipmunk they might receive a blank check.
It was also around this time when the UN saw climate change as a way to finally implement a "global tax" This is the genesis of the the awful IPCC report that would made Al Gore a climate star.
Add in the former communists after the fall of the Soviet Union, the anti-capitalists from the radical environmental groups like Greenpeace and the Sierra Club, power hungry politicians, and naive teachers spreading the theories as fact to school children and you get a huge movement.
If it wasn't for some brave hackers that exposed ClimateGate, we might not know the truth today.

The Political Brief
I'm delighted that the truth is finally out there, and amazed that a few psychotic clingers refuse to let it go and admit it was a scam. Wouldn't it be nice if Gore and the rest of the turkeys were prosecuted? Bernie Madoff was...
