Victory! The War On Drugs Is Over
May 17th 2009 23:25
This week the Obama administration declared a cease fire on the war on drugs. They will not raid marijuana clinics and will, on the federal level anyway, suggest treatment over incarceration for non violent drug criminals. I applaud the administration for this libertarian stance. Now if we could legalize prostitution, stop eminent domain abuse, and pass the fairtax I would happily embrace a second term.

I do not support druges, never have, never will, but I think this is a move in the right direction in getting the drug addicted down the scale from the hard stuff back to the lighter stuff. Hit the top levels of crack and Ice manufacture and leave the weed to those to chill on instead, much saner results, much less life ruined. Agreed. I have long felt that confiscating the weed fields only forces the young up the ladder to harder stuff when they cannot get the lighter stuff.
Like I said, I do see some method in the madness here.
I am not sure on the fairtax issue as I don*t follow American Politics much, but so far so good from what you write.
